A and H are growing up so fast, and I'm thrilled that their Mother brought them in for a Mother's Day 'Quick-Take' Session to capture this time in their development. You probably know the feeling when you haven't seen a child for a while and the next thing you know, they've gotten sooo big. I first photographed them two years ago and as you can imagine, they indeed have changed a lot!
This session was so much fun because of its clandestine nature. It was to be a surprise gift -- so some shopping had to be arranged to move the surprisee out of the house. It worked--I was in, the weather AND the kids cooperated beautifully.....and the lucky recipient returned home without suspicion. She absolutely loved these gifts--who wouldn't?
One of my favorite storyboards that we recently put together. A lot of you may recognize my new year lollipop girl- here she is in a lovely triple with her siblings. If you'd like to see more storyboard examples, please visit our website . You'll see a slideshow under the heading of Goodies. Enjoy!
When Babies Today asked me for ideas on photographing toddlers and babies on a monthly basis--holiday times were an easy answer--a mini-Santa suit perhaps or Halloween costumes a must have. But it was the in-between times that put me in a quandry -- like April or June when there's not an obvious celebration at hand. Yet, that's when my favorite idea comes to mind--bubbles, sidewalk chalk and lollipops! Children love to be busy focusing on some THING besides having their photo taken. That's when you capture the candid moments that are loved more than the posed ones. Read A Photo a Month-A Year Full of Baby and Toddler Pictures for all the details and more tips. In the meantime, you'll see what I'm talking about below.
Here's the real deal--more display ideas but this time with my work at Children's Health Services in Weston, CT. The sofa wall shows a pair of adorable babies in one of my more popular square sizes. The giclee print set above the mini-kitchen measure 11 x 14 unframed. Both sizes serve as a perfect starting point for a family photo gallery or are simple and clean enough to stand as separate pairs. You can see more examples of wall displays by scrolling down or clicking on the 'Gallery Wall Displays' tab to your left.
